Jim Watkin has sent through another report on The Foundry’s Academy climbers and their competitive success.

Jim writes:

Firstly, Abbie Rivett finished 3rd in the Scottish Open Youth Bouldering Championships, held in Glasgow over the weekend. This is a major achievement against a very strong field of young climbers from Scotland and beyond and is a massive credit to Abbie and to the coaching at The Foundry!

Elsewhere Mark Alkins-Tooth and Pippa Watkin both won the 7-10 category at the Rocfest bouldering event in Manchester whilst fellow Academy member Michael Clinton finished an impressive 5th in the 11-15 category.

Lastly 5 Academy members (Abbie, Mark, Erin Moore, Alex Hall, Bethany Jennings) will be in Edinburgh representing the Peak Area in the YCS final in three weeks time.

Hopefully we will have more Academy success to report following that!
