March 20th. Up to 40 of the BMC squad/team will be climbing lots of routes set on the main wall plus a couple in the Furnace.

Saturday 13th March. The final regional Peak round of the BMC Youth series. There will be 50, 7 to 15 year olds enjoying Rob and Karl’s routes and boulder problems.

Now up and running every Friday 8-10pm, weekends 6-8pm and Mondays 8-10pm. Give us a ring to book in at £10 for two hours, includes axes and helmet with visor. See blog for images and film.

Its £10/person for 2 hours which includes the gear but bring your own gloves. Theres a bit of paperwork to complete on your first visit. Dry tooling evening sessions are Mondays and Fridays 8-10pm and weekends 6-8pm. You must book in advance to have ago and be 18 or over.

Currently (Friday lunchtime) most major main roads in Sheffield are clear of snow/ice, so if you can get off the residential side roads you should have no problems getting to us. For those sticking to public transport we are on the 53 bus route, or just a 10-15min walk from city centre.

We have every intention of remaining open as normal during this winter period, however if we get more heavy snow please phone before travelling. If road conditions deteriorate considerably we may close slightly earlier than normal to ensure staff and customers don’t get stranded.

14th to 29th November. Three categories of Improver, Recreational and Elite. Ten new routes to attaempt to on sight / climb ground up of grades F5+, F6A, F6A+, F6b, F6b+, F6c, F7a, F7b, F7c and F8a. Ask for score sheet (£1) at reception.

New Bouldering circuits including kids, level 1, level 2, level 3 and elite. Problems in font grades fom font 3a up to 7c+. The circuits are all over the different bouldering areas in the Foundry including the revamped traverse corridor which also has two traverses on resin hand moulded pockets , pinches, edges and undercuts.
