Top Roping
The Foundry offers 26 Top-rope lines providing approximately 100 routes. The lines are spread over 2 slabs, the CragX vertical wall and the featured 'Livingstone wall', now sponsored by Moon climbing.
Up to 11m in height, these walls are ideal for the beginner, providing varied and interesting routes from F3 - F6c.
Why not go to the download pages, where route guides for the top rope walls can be found!
The CragX Vertical Wall
The CragX Wall is vertical, yes, but that's not to say that it's two - dimensional. The routes on this wall are all about rockovers, laybacks, jamming and mantling. The routes are accessible and not excessively strenuous, but demand thought and careful technique.
Tackling the lines here will mean precise navigation over and around some crazy volumes and shapes, on all manner of hold types. The CragX wall is often to be found sporting the now infamous jamming crack..... Are you up to the challenge?
The Livingstone Wall - Sponsored by Moon Climbing
The Livingstone Wall offers a very different kind of climbing experience to any of the other walls in the centre. This textured wall has pockets, dishes, cracks and all manner of features to get you really trusting your feet. Every line on the Livingstone wall can be attempted on features only, providing you with permanent projects to go with the regularly changing routes here.
The Slabs
Slab climbing at The Foundry consists of a great mix of easier warm-up routes (and laddery juggy routes for little ones) and technical testpieces. Once again, bespoke volumes transform the climbing here - ticking the all the routes on the two slabs will require even experienced climbers to expand their repertoire of moves....
