Foundry Outdoor takes the experience and passion from 25 years of “The Foundry” to the Peak District. There are activities for children, families, friends and youth groups. We help you explore iconic Peak District venues with activities that suit your experience and ability levels.

Great for climbers looking to transition to the outdoors or people looking to see the Peak District and the activities that it offers for the first time.


Foundry Summer Adventure

Foundry summer adventure is a three day multi activity programme based in the Peak District. The programme will excite and challenge your children. Six half day activities introduce climbing, weaselling, abseiling and an adventure trail. We programme in wet weather options to accommodate the British Summer.

Located in the Burbage Valley and at Stanage Edge the programme is a great way of exciting and entertaining your kids over the summer holiday. These activities will develop skills and confidence whilst providing social opportunities.

Bookings can be for the full three day course or just a single day. We provide the technical equipment and qualified instructors, you drop the kids off. You are welcome to stop with your children for the day or leave them with us.

£200 for the full programme
£75 for the day



Activities will be located in the Burbage Valley. 

In the Morning we will be Climbing if the weather is good or Weaselling if the weather is bad.

In the Afternoon we will be going on an Adventure Trail.


Activities will be located at Stanage Edge near Hathersage

In the Morning we will be Abseiling followed Climbing if we have time.

In the Afternoon we will be Climbing if the weather is good, or doing a Gully Scramble if the weather is bad


Activities will be located in the Burbage Valley

In the Morning we will be Climbing if the weather is good or Shelter Building if the weather is bad.

In the Afternoon we will Weaselling.

Pick an Adventure 


You select the activity and we provide the instructor, equipment and venue. An adventure can be for parties of friends and family or youth groups.


Family & Friends

Take your friends or family on an adventure in the Peak District this summer. You can book a single activity over half a day, or have a full day with us. Within a full day you can do two half day activities or absorb yourself in a single activity for the whole day.

Youth Groups - Scout/Guide/Cadet or School

The Peak District is the ideal location for youth groups to learn about and enjoy the outdoors. We are providing bespoke evening, day and weekend programmes to match your budget and time frames.

You can decide on the activities that suit the experience and ability levels of your group, budget and desired outcomes. We provide the qualified instructors, equipment, venue suggestions, insurance and health and safety paperwork. We are accredited AALA providers and our team has experience of providing outdoor activities for over 10 years.

Outdoor Rock Climbing

Climb on real rock in the beautiful Peak District. Book this session for yourself, friends, children or youth group. No prior experience is required. We can take your group to any of the gritstone edges in the Peak District. The Burbage Valley and Stanage Edge are popular choices.

Millers Dale Viaduct Abseil

An epic 25m free hanging abseil off the Millers Dale Viaduct. A great activity to develop confidence and trust or to give your adrenaline levels a top up.



The natural playground. Wriggle and worm your way through the natural caves and crevices of the Peak District. Leave your best clothes behind, your not getting out of this one clean. Weaselling is a great way to have fun, communicate and push comfort levels.
